How long should I let the car idel before switching the engine off?

 

(I'm too tight to buy a turbo timer !!)

    this has been discussed previously and i think the slow drive for last few miles seems the sensible way of cooling down some turbo timers work on temp sensor and vary times accordingly

     

    i always make sure i drive with no boost for last 5 minutes home (speed bumps kinda enforce that tho) then half a minute or so to cool down, when your sat idling theres not much airflow thru the engine bay and it does get rather hot in there,
