I'm building with a mate an ICE install for the ZX.

The problem we're facing at the moment is finding the easiest and safest way through for the power cable from battery in the engine compartment to the inside of the car.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Geoff.

The wire to the amp that was fitted in my car when I bought it was run through the bulkhead, behind the dash, down by the side of the drivers leg (behind fascia) under the plastic kick plate (if you take the kick plate off and lift the crapet you will find a load of wiring there) under the back side panels and then into the boot.

I found the easiest way was behind the ecu behind the passenger footwell.

hi mate, there is a panel on the bulk head next to the brake servo its there to be drilled, you can see it and drill it from inside the drivers foot well. failing that run the power cable from the battery with inline fuse down under the car, along the brake line plastic covers and up through the rubber gromet in the boot.

hope this is of some help mate

If you remove the plastic wheel arch liner on the passenger side, you will see a large grommet going in to the passanger footwell. You can trace it back and it comes up right next to the battery.

Thanks for your help. In the end I found on drivers side wire going through from bulkhead with grommett and got it through there.

So now were making the moulds for the two subs - so its all coming on.
