Thought id fix my squeaky brake today before billing next weekend, thing is when putting calliper back on i managed to kill the thread on the brake hose, so now ive got to change that, but to add to my problems, i tried to take the hose off and managed to round the nut off, so now i need to know where this pipe goes once it dissapears behind the wing (arrow in pic), and also any tips on how to free a very round bolt would be good.

Cheers:(

6 days to billing, and im worried at the rate i work it will never be done!!!

Also, if anyones got a brake hose lying about, they want to flog so i can fit it Sunday (nelsons closed:mad: ) i'd be greatful

Can't help with where the pipe goes but as far as the nut goes if you can heat it up with a small blow torch and then get a good set of mole grips on it that usually works for me. Sorry can't be more help.

If you can get a socket onto the rounded of bolt then use a socket that drives on the flats rather than the points, they are usually the black ones say, in a Halfords kit..impact sockets I think they are called. They've saved me a few times!

Berkely, have you tried a flare nut spanner on the nut. It's like a single hex ring spanner with a slot in it to go over the pipe.

Failing that a small stilston wrench usually works for me.

If you can get a flaring tool to borrow, you could just put another end on that pipe then add another small bit of pipe to make the length back up.

That pipe will run back to the ABS unit, probably under the car inside one of those plastic trunking things

Why the hell dont i leave things alone!!!

I'll be taking a very slw drive over there in the morning, anyone who thinks zed brakes are crap ought to try disconecting one of them and feel how well it brakes on 3 wheels!!!!! Plus in an auto it makes it even more scary!!!!

b19rks mate your zed is ready for collection with new caliper and pipework sorted.
