How do the wiper blades come off ? I have removed the nut from the shaft, are they just a tight fit ? I dont want to damage them, are they just a push on fit ?

Thanks

to remove the wiper arms, remove the blade, remove the nut, then pull (very) hard, eventually it will come off.

sure are, I thought it would break I was pulling so hard, but i just got pissed off so in a fit of anger pulled it super-hard and it came away in my hands. Be careful with the drivers side one because it wont clear the bonnet and if it hits it with that much force its goodbye lovely paint job.

Had mine off just the other day (oo-er) to fit new scuttle trim. Kinda wiggle aswell as you pull, they are on splines and will come off with a bit of persuasion!

Yep, respraying is definately cheaper that replacement, just replaced both parts on mine at a cost of nearly £75! + £6 for fastners!!

But it does look nice now.

Where did you get the fasteners ? Mine are just about shot.

Nissan main dealer:

Small rectangular one = 66814-01GOO

Circular ones - 80999-41BOO

The new ones are lovely and tight, but be careful as the smaller section of the cowl is of a different material and is quite fragile.

Good luck

Tim

Tim, I have just done the same, replaced both sections and got new screws and fasteners from Luke.

It was a grin factor when it went on! :D :D :D

Looks great James,

I may end up buying new ones....we will see.

Yours look silver in the pic, do they come in silver and in black ?

John

No, they're kind of dark grey. I would've sprayed mine but one half was cracked, so went for new.

Yeah I need a new passenger/side one as parts broken and discoloured - so Luke sells them?

Geoff.

Yep, or can be ordered direct from Nissan.

Tim

Also you say its a grey, guess ti would look stupid painted in black..?

Clarkey,

I rubbed then down with smooth emery cloth, then grey Plasti-Kote primer. I painted mine black, looks good, but my car is gunmetal grey colour. They may not look as good on a light coloured car, but I still think black would be good.
