I will, for the fee of £29.99 give all of the pro's secrets.

This will be of special interest to Nelson!

All of the secrets are 100% genuine (I have undertaken extensive research by reading Flex and Muscle and Fitness Magazine) and will result in great gains.

I am now a Doctor having taken a exam in Hypnotherapy but will market myself as a Clinical Doctor as it sounds much more impressive.

:D

Buy my Snake Oil! It works, honest, guv!

so there's nothing scientific about the human body ??????????????????????

Honestly, you should read his book - I know u r biggger than me, but that doesn't mean you train better than me - u cud have better genetics, been training for longer, taken steroids at some point etc.

All the arguments posted so far are addressed in his book.

Of course there in his book! Its a product to sell, to make money. If its so great then publish it free! Look genetics are a big cop out. How can you know you can build a 20" arm until you do? I used to weigh 10 stone at 6 Foot FFS! I met a very honest Pro who told me the secrets.

1. Eat Big

2. Lift Big

3. Sleep Big

There is no secret or wonder routine or wonder pill (including Steroids) I know its human nature to want to find the holy grail, but it aint there! :(

you should research nutrition before you even think about going back to the gym nelson, infact please do coz Im bored of it and could do with some long posts of yours about it, there is a lot of good info on the net.

LMFFAO Nelson clearly if hes bigger than you , better built than you, competes in the arena, he is obviously training better than you lmfao, if he wasent then he wouldent be?

(bear in mind we have no clue what you look like and probably never will.)

mentzer LOST money by taking the line he did. He deserved to amek some money (like we all do) for writing such a good book. Gnetics are a BIG factor -come on  2 guys train and eat and sleep the same - 1 grows more than the other - why? genetics.

You are coprrect in saying there are no wonder routines, but why do the mags yopu read constanlty publish routines as if they are the holy grail ? please read more..............

you had decided this was the best book ever before you had even opened it nelson,

forgive people for thinking you are biased.

I'm suggesting interested ppl read teh book and decide for themselves.

Mike lost money because 1. He was off his nut on amphetamines and 2. even when he wasnt he refused to kiss arse infact he was a prat IMHO. This guy thought he was God! No really!

Genetics are NOT a big factor, no 2 people will train, eat and sleep the same FACT! (I sound like Macca). My friend who has just turned pro (in other woirds the last contest he will ever win, see below) began at a bw of 9 stone at 6'3" he know is 19' at 4% bodyfat! Bad genetics? Why limit yourself with negatives, who says because your wrist is so many inches you can only become so big! What crap! The mind is the biggest weapon you have in gaining size, use it!

I dont read these magazines, that was my point. If you believe that the articles signed off by Dorian etc are written by them then there is no hope!

Look Body Building is not a sport, it will never be part of the Olympics, it will never be drug free. The power is held within the business, mainly the Weiders. The buying public demand freaks and freaks require drugs. Who wins the Olympia is not a contest its a marketing ploy!

Its a business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please stop wasting your time and money!

If you are not progressing ( adding 2lbs of body weight each week) then either your nutrition or rest is wrong, not your training. If you try and do more than last time thats training pretty much covered.

I dont know everything, no one does thats my point!

Sorry Nelson but you asked!;)

2lb a week ?? Of muscle ?? No WAY ! 5-15 lb a year more like !!

No, a 2lb gain!

You should be able to gain 1lb of lean tissue per week IF all factors are perfect! (This is a scientific fact). If you want to gain muscle you have to gain fat (This is a scientific fact). You cannot, no matter what companies flogging the latest secret plant extract from deepest darkest Wigan, tell you, you cant gain muscle without the other.

Of course life is not perfect and little things like getting ill, going to work and stress get in the way. BUT if you arnt gaining 2lbs a week then something is wrong!

Nelson when you first went to the gym, how were your gains? Pretty good I expect. I went from 10 stone to 13 in a matter of months, most people do. This is because they keep it simple, lift more than last week, eat more than last week, and sleep well. Enthusiam is abound, life is good.

Then we try to complicate matters. If I do Mr X's 100 sets a workout whilst using negative reps, giant sets, the latest eastern block training method of growling like a tiger between sets I'll make more gains!

No what you want to do is 1 set really heavy, that will work? Mmmmm doing less effort, getting more results, sounds too good to be true, well it is!

If I were a top pro/guru/expert who would like to make money would I A; tell the truth and sell nothing because everyone already knows OR B; make up some silly training method and con peolple?

If you havnt made continous gains then something is wrong, if you still have the desire to be bigger then its your diet, or rest that needs looking at. Unless of course youve changed from doing the BORING but PAINFULL 4-6 sets of heavy (for you) compound exercises.

I'm just trying to save u money and wasted time but hey knock yourself out!

:D

how u gonna save me money ?

training the heavy duty way means I go to gym less, so save money !

The reason Mentzer developed the heavy duty training program was because he wasn't gaining himself on the extended programs other were using - he studied and experimented and found that less was more ;)

I am now training the heavy duty way - I'll let you know how my progress goes.

My intitial gains on going to a gym were about 1.5 stone in a year - but some of that was fat. A gym instructor told me 5lb of pure muscle a year was the best I could expect and Mentzer claims between 5-~15lb a year is the range possible going from hard gainer to natural. He worked this out by using figures from pro bodybuilders - so not a guess or theory. It is also easier to regain muscle than to gain it in the first place.

Do you fully understand heavy duty/high intensity training -it doesn't just mean lift as heavy as poss and do only 2 sets.

I give up!

So duid you buy the book Nelson?

:D

yes and read most of it at the weekend
