The 'boot closed' sensor

Can anyone tell me where the senser is for the boot closed light on the dash! When im driving the light flickers on and off and i can hear an anoying electric shorting noise coming from the boot! Please help before i decide to hack it with a screwdriver and hammer.

 

Ps. Just had some oddball trying to tell me his Volvo (Volvic) T5 was a comparable force and looks to my ZX!!!!

    Hello Mike,

     

    lol - I had this and it was driving me mad. The actual switch is in the locking mechanism itself. I took mine to bits and it still did the same thing, it turn out to be the drivers side door needed adjusting in as it wasn't closing the switch all the time.
