Will these alloys and tyres fit my 300zx ? any problems ?

FRONT WHEELS ARE 8.5X17 AND REARS ARE 10X17. FRONT TYRES ARE 235 45 17 AND REARS ARE 255 40 17. TYRES ARE MATCHING FULDA EXTREMOS.

Thanks

Dixon,

AFAIK Supras, RX7 and ZXs have the same stud pattern so I think it will be okay but make sure to find out the offsets tho

I know that the centre bore of a Z wheel is 6mm larger than that of a Supra, although the bolt pattern is correct.

So wheels for a Z should fit a soop, but not vice versa without a bit of machining.

Thanks for that advice. Would the centre bore problem also be present in 17" rims ?

Offsets, one reply to my post said '35' is this mm ? or did he mean 3.5" ?

Thanks

John

John,

sounds like the offset size quoted to you should be 35mm

The centre bore problem will apply to wheels of any diameter.

He meant 35mm, 3.5" is one hell of an offset :D

Thanks everyone,

Too bad about the bore size, looks like a nice set of OZ alloys. The seller reckons they will fit a 300zx. He advertises them as 'Supra/Nissan/RX7'

I suppose its possible that OZ made them with the larger bore to fit all 3 cars ?

Anyone know what the minimum bore size should be ?

Thanks

Hi

The owner of the alloys assures me that they are a universal bore diameter and will fit the 300zx. Offset he said is 40mm.

Will these tyres be ok on a zed ....FRONT WHEELS ARE 8.5X17 AND REARS ARE 10X17. FRONT TYRES ARE 235 45 17 AND REARS ARE 255 40 17. TYRES ARE MATCHING FULDA EXTREMOS.

The 235 fronts and 255 rears are larger than my standard 225's, whats the implications of using these larger tyres ?

Also, what is the '8.5' fronts and '10' rears refer too ?

Thanks

Hi John,

The 8.5 and the 10 refers to the width of the wheel in inches.

I have the same wheels sizes but in 18's. The tyres you have mentioned should be ok, but the 255 on the rear may be a little thin. I have 265 on the rears of mine but they previously had 285's on them.

I'm sure they will be ok though ;).

Thanks Stuart,

Now I have to weigh up if they are worth £350 (alloys and tyres with 5/6 mm tread left)

Minor curb scuffs on 2 of the rims though

Regards

John

Which OZ wheels are they mate - any pics or links to how they look so we can advise you further on their going price???
