This is for us and is designed to get us through this. Dont ignore it as if your Z is (god forbid) stolen and you sell it you could get in trouble. So have a look.

 

I think the second hand market for imports has just fallen through the floor guys.

We may well need the equivalent of a HPI check to sell these now. Bugger.

On the other hand, with a little police assistance you can prove that your car is not stolen and therefore a better buy than the ones that have not been checked.

I like that better. Maybe the prices will start to rise if you have the proof of a legit car....

My importer sent me an e-mail last night, correctly judging the concern his customers may have. He has provided some additional information, although aimed at NorthWestImports customers, the information may be of interest to others?

If my Z is nicked then thats the way it will have to stay until the police check it out themselves.

I feel sorry for anyone in Japan who had their car stolen but i've paid good money for my Z and will be doing so for a couple more years. Chances are the owner got paid out by his insurance company and they make more than enough cash to cover these losses.

Theres no way I'm helping them confiscate my Z if it turns out to be stolen.

Yeah. Only one I noticed in the whole show though - it was all that pseudo off-road crap !
