How accessible is the starter motor ?

Mine screaches sometimes, and it was suggested that sometimes if the bolts are loose it can cause that.

Thanks

very easy, just jack up (and support) the drivers side and it's very easy to remove/put back. Mine started to do that and i found that the threads had been stripped - PIA to sort out.

Just remember to disconnect the battery!

Erm.............cos I didn't when I took mine off and nearly welded my screwdriver to it!

Making yourself jump like that in a confined space cannot be good for you.

LOL :D I thought if it wasn't broken before, then it definately is now after shorting it out like that...............but it was ok.

Was a while ago but I remember some kind if heat shield I had to bend back to be able to properly get to it.

Just undo the 10mm bolt holding it on then LOL

You actually need to be very carefull with the starter supply as it is a direct connection from the positive of the battery. If you short it out, you risk a potential fire. ALWAYS disconnect the battery when working on cars!!!
