Graphics are the dogs, plays not alot different than the last one. I`ve done about 4 hrs today, got about 3 stages to do to get all the licences. Rally stage is tops.

I would say that it is as good as the last for playability but the graphics make it, especially the reflective detail in the other cars.

Well worth the money but if graphics don`t bother you stick with the first 2.

Anyway, firstly how the f**k do you change to MPH??? Secondly, you lot are going for the licenses, I have played previous GT's but me and the woman are currently trying to build up funds...wait for it...racing in a f**king Yaris 1.5J...however, don't all piss your pants at the same time in hysterics! I have accumulated enough to upgrade her with a racing stylee exhaust and induction kit! Giving me a grand "Brucee" total of 114 bhp up on the miserly 105 bhp. But, this is arse backwards logic as we are still struggling to beat prev. lap times...LOL!

 

Excellent game, graphics on the replays are second to none that I've ever seen on any game.

 

Was disappointed when I tried to get the 300 2 seater with only 18,000 clicks when she retails at a whopping 40 something...

 

With the mods. that you can do on here, who needs the real thing...more reliable for starters...says he, who hasn't got it yet! When I do get my V. Z she will probably lose oil pressure on the last lap while I'm in the

Shoe-maker position!

gt3 is the poodles noodles without a doubt the best car racing/simulation ive ever played and bob is right the rally side of it is awesome......did you have fun on the last license section where you have to go round ever decreasing circles in the mines skyline bob.............i got it on thursday and was at johnnies till very late getting them and the batman aka fucking stupid ginger tosser no sorry strawberry blonde tosser said he'd saved it doh doh doh doh........wot he saved was a replay aaarrrrggggghhhhh i had to do them all again tonight

The Skyline one is a bitch, you have to stop for the last bend, the Porsche on the slalom is a bit of fun aswell. make sure you get the right car for your first one, if you pick a pig you`ll be there for ever trying to get some cash together, i went for the MX5 and has been ok so far. Just keep selling the freebies when you win and mod like a madman.

Me and 'er were up until 5am, after mullering loadZ of Vodka Hooches followed by Heineken Shmeineken. Yep it is the most realistic driving sim. you are ever likely to play, coz we got stuck on the last run of the first license! Donuts! So while the Elite like Bob and Tooley are already Mika bloody Hakinens, me and her are more like Maureen off that dodgey driving program in the Lada.

 

Will get there, excellent game though, I love it! I'm gonna spend some time next week with this to try and achieve some kinda standard!

you are forgetting who won the last races. I think overall, I won more races anyway. You did set the fastest lap time, I'll give you that but I stopped on my fastest lap for you to catch up!

 

Good races though. Bloody dificult with the wheel though, my back is still hurting. Give you another game soon (and I won't go so easy on you this time).

 

BTW, got home at 3:30. Bloody speed camreas in South London - f'ing everywhere. Only got up about an hour ago

dont know much about gt3 but on the first 2 gt's for my first car i got a supra turbo R for under 10k that was the fastest car under 10k that i could find but dont know how much you get to start with on gt3

Yeah, it was easier in GT2. GT3, there are no second hand cars so you have to buy a slow POS to start with. I've got a 2 litre Beetle (big mistake). My friend said not to get the MX5 as the game is to easy. I should have ignored him, lol.

Yeah that game is the Shizness boyz and girlz.

 

Got a good 10 hours in over the weekend Sans Racing wheel so i had to use the joypad - can't move my thumb anymore due to all that Joint to tip braking

 

Without the second hand cars it makes early progress a bitch - If you wanna gain money fast i suggest you complete the first to cups - Get the Miata as a prize mod it to 200+ bhp and then Race the FR tracks as they are 2500 first prize .... Finally got my badass Red Z at about 5:30 sunday - stopped playing it then as my eyes are bloodshot too hell !

 

Overall the game is PhaTT - mind you i never really played GT2 as i only had the Jap version - i suspect if you had played that a lot you may be a bit disapointed - altho the graphics and Physics are the Bollox - streets ahead of the 32bit version. KMPH - that pisses me off too ! - dont think you can change it tho - Sounds track is also Pants - lots of weeny rock - not that you can hear it above me newy acquired racing exhuast for my Z. Sounds FX are awesome - love the slight whistle of the Turbos and the Whine from the Racing Transmissions - Top stuff !

I didn't get the PT Cruiser in the end (I'm not that much of a masochist!). I ended up getting another shit wallowing pile of crap - the VW Beetle. I'm saving for a nice red Z too. Think I'm gonna have to re-run some of the easier races to earn more money to get it. My Beetle is not going anywhere without 150,000 spent on it for some serious NA tuning and slicks.

 

The kph is fixed. There is only one country (region) who get mph and it ain't us. The music is just for the UK. The other regions have completely different music. The US music would have been much better than Feeder but like you say, you can't hear it very much and you can turn it off.

 

When is your steering wheel coming? Shouldn't it have arrived already? At least you only damaged your thumb. After using the wheel (including a few rally stages), my entire back/arms/hands/neck are killing me

Stage 2 Exhaust and Filter.

ECU

Flywheel

Tyres

Stage 1 hardparts and Gasketts

Turbo

Level 1 Tranny

Clutch stage 2

 

That is a fair amount of cash all in all but i really needed it to get thru most of the early stages wihtout spending 20k + on a new car - think i would recommend a Miata (MX5) with all the kit on to people that have yet to start the game.

 

Any other recommendations ?

 

The 300ZX is an Amazing car and mine is still at Stage stock - could only afford the 2 seater mind the 2+2 is like 4K more i think Had to be a Red manual - the best config (shame about the Lack of JWT ECU and B&B exhaust tho lol)

At least you can change the music though, better than Ash EVERY single race! Oh so pleased that everyone else is starting in a jallopy wagon aswell...LOL! I was playing golf with my Bro yesterday, he's played both GT's to death. He mentioned to me about buying 2nd hand and I said that I was pretty sure you couldn't and that you had to buy new! He was quite shocked and kept asking me if I was sure!

 

So, Andy's in a Beetle, Nico in a Chippalata and me in a Toyota Yaris(induction kit and Egsost! Dumb animals the Welsh!) which has upped my Yaris monster to a hefty 114 bhp...LMFAO! How are you guyZ doing with the Licenses? Me and the Mrs. got stuck on the last stage of the 1st license at 5am Saturday morning...was absolutely cained though, which is not a good idea when driving a Skylark at full pelt!

 

Impressed so far though, Nico, I think you did the right thing getting the 2 seater, they're faster aren't they than the 2+2. That's what I want, when I've got enough clicks...

Kerching! Have now got the domestic licenses A & B, thank god! But gave up last night on the pro start licenses, trying to go round and round a 100 mtr cicular track in a sodding Corvette is not easy.

 

Yaris is now upto a healthier 175bhp after turbo and suspension upgrades, oh and some bolloxs wheels aswell! SAD!

 

Z is getting closer to reality all the time!

I have just the A class licence - Need the B class now but decided against it untill i get the Racing Wheel (tomorrow ) - They licences are good for gettin to grips with things !

 

Sounds like your makin good progress there Tim - You know that if you get Gold in all the Cups of a challenge you get a Bonus car that is worth about 3 - 5K on beginner levels. Good to boost the cash and enter more cups without having to buy another cheap car !

 

Missing Second had cars is what makes the game so difficult to start off with - never even bothered watching the Replays till i got the Z who wants to see a dam PT cruise wallowing round like a hippo in a mud bath

Really struggling with the corvette on the wet roundabout- has anyone managed to crack this one yet?

Doing ok in the arcade mode, gained about a dozen bonus circuits by playing in 'easy mode' (still a rookie at this stuff!)

Managed to win on all 'Area A' circuits in nrmal mode. In the bonus area a green car has lit up- but I cant access any extra cars. Does anyone know what this means?

Oh Dave mate, you having the same trouble as me then eh? I tried about 30 times last night to do that 1st part of the license with the Corvette on the wet 100R circuit...twatting thing!

 

What does not go together, high powered yank muscle car with a piddly mini roundabout and a wet surface...ARSE!

 

I realised after reading Tooleys posts that I didn't have to keep going round the same track 40x1000 clicks to save up for a Z. Just win on each track, complete that race cup/event and get a bonus car...large! Did the first one last night, what car did I win? A sodding Toyota Corolla hatchback GT with 127 bhp and worth a cool 3200 cr. Sold it straight away, modded the Yaris upto 200 bhp, changed the oil 250 cr.(I think) carwash 50 cr. and then put some bolloxs wheels on her! 500 cr. Yep, sad but hey, if you're gonna spend some time with it, make it a pocket rocket! LMFAO!

 

Not looking forward to taking on the Corvette scenario again tonight, but got to get past it! Did complete it a couple of times but just outside the time...well 'ard!
