I am a new Z owner....bought a 93 UK unmodified TT (Blue). It was a salvage buy needing bumper, wings, ancilliary plastic bits behind the bumper and rear bottom arm & rear steering rack arm. I have managed to source all parts bar front bumper, seems that the breakers yards think that it is OK to fit an import bumper to UK spec....Nissan didn't put the vents on the corners of the bumper for nothing!!!

 

Nissan want £493 for bumper & most breakers want £180-£200 for an import bumper. Jap Parts in teeside have a UK one for £325 + vat.....rather expensive for 2nd hand bumper even if it is UK spec!!!

 

Anyone have any ideas on where to source a bumper?

I'm up in Merseyside. No damage to the bumper, I just swapped it for the Stillen bumper as below.

Stupid question to a current Z owner but (I have already had to send back 2 bumpers as they were imports) does it have the grills in the corners? If so e-mail me your number and I will give you a call to sort out a visit to take it off your hands....

Just being a pedant, but..

 

It's not imports that don't have the vents, it's the non turbo version that doesn't have the vents.. It's just that the only non turbo cars are imports - there are import TT's too, and these do have the intercooler vents (all TT bumpers do, but NA's don't - the NA bumper is also half an inch or so further off the ground than the TT..)

I stand corrected on the vents for imports....there seems to be lots of Non Turbos in the breakers yards!!!! Most of the breakers do not seem to realise that there is a difference between the Turbos and non-turbo versions!!!

 

Typical....it like buses.....I have been looking for a bumper for the last month and then 2 come along at once!!!! lol.

I bought it for £2300....looking at the price of L reg UK cars I am quite pleased with the buy.

 

The wife gets a sensible new(ish) car and I get a toy!!!!
