Entry level digital camcorder?

You guys helped me out with my camera and got an excellent Fuji that I'm really pleased with.

Now my Mum (no jokes please!) has asked me to get her a digital camcorder but only wants an entry level one (cheap I guess).........but one I will nick to use aswelll of course!!!!

    If she already has a 8mm analog camcorder then go for a sony Digital8 model. I am very pleased with mine!

    I looked at the Sony's and they seemed to start at around £300. I've also seen Panasonic or Sharp etc for £200. I would always go for one a bit more expensive but my mum doesn't really care about it tbh, probably wont even be able to operate it!!
