Yeah, cheers for that Paul, I knew I could count on someone of your mechanical expertise :D

Fuse????

Stue mate I take it the driver side is working, so pop the switch and try a live on the feed to the motor. That way you know if its the motor or the switch. If the motor runs see if you have a live to the switch. If not It could be the window lock on the driver side.If the motor doesnt run at all its back to the hammer.

No I did'nt mean that.

There is a small acces hole through the speaker pod, you may be able to reach the motor and feel for any loose conections.

Other than that try and remove the door card with the seat belt intact

Good luck, ChrissyP

Don`t take offense but have you checked the isolator lock out for the passenger window.... the one located at the top of the drivers side switch bank?

you would be amazed how many times I have been requested to look at a non working passenger window to find the isolator is simply switched off.

Worth a try

I don't think there is a fuse per windows but I'll check.

Haven't checked the switches for live feeds yet but I'll check the wires with a multimeter tomorrow.

The probelm with the door car is that it is held in by two bolts under the door pillar trim so unless this bit comes off I can't take the panel off, however I may be able to unclips the bottom and remove the speaker cover from inside.

Thanks

P.S. If you are still after a set of locks I have a complete set for sale (i.e. both doors, including handles (perl white), boot, ignition barrel and glove box, comes with 1 key that fits all. it's a bit of an unusual key so you may want to get another cut. I upgraded to a set of locks with a titaniam key.

I think the going rate is about £70 - £80, but if you want them £50 and they are yours, I'll even help you fit them. Should only take about an hour all in.

No offense taken Jeff, don't worry about that. I know what you are saying though, I guess it's a common mistake, but unfortunatley it's one that I checked first of all.

I know we replaced the speaker in the passenger door recently and I think it's stopped working a little after that, so I think it's pulled awire somewhere.

Thanks

Stu Mate, I'll have the locks and handles and the offer of help would be good to, It wold take me all day to fit on me own.

Thanks ChrissyP..

If you can get the the switch out, disconnect it and check that when in window down mode you've got continuity across the switch. If you haven't then the switch isn't working propely, if you have then check you have a live feed on one of the corresponding wires to that side of the switch.

hope this helps

Problem solved.

Managed to get to the motor via the speaker hole with the panel half off. It seems likt the window somehow caught a wire and pulled it form the motor. Rewired it and all is fine.

Thanks
