-----------------------------------

Just been round the M25 (Essex - Herts section) and spotted 14 Yes!! FOURTEEN new Gatsos!!!

These aren't temporary ones on trailers either, but fixed!!!

Most of them still had bags over them saying "Not in use" but I don't suppose it will be long before they are!!

They are between Junc 27 (M11) and Junc 26 (Waltham Abbey) and are on both sides of the carriageway (7 clockwise and 7 anti-clockwise)

These may have been spotted before by others on here but I haven't noticed a thread so I thought I would post the warning!!

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!!!

Come to think of it, there are always accidents on this bit, well at least when i get to go through there

 so as stated elsewhere there will now be more due to unexpected stamping on brake pedals! My experience of the M25 is your lucky to get above 30mph anyway, unless its in the middle of the night and then theres no risk to anyone else anyway?

Shafted! Yes we are!

How can you say that they are for accident black spots only no, with so many on a short space.

And another rant on variable speed limits and fog signs! Last Saturday I drove upto Newbury via the M25, hit junction 12 andd saw FOG! signs illimunitated? Its was 80 degrees of sunshine FFS! Next 50mph signs, then 40mph signs, then 50mph etc etc. There was no apparent reason for this, i.e. no accident, no lane closures and certainly no ****** FOG! It does however allow Mr Plod to take nice piccies of u doing a legal 70mph in a variable 50mph limit and causes accidents by people slamming on their brakes from 80 to 40! Funny old place Britain!

I had exactly the same thing at 2am with only me and a few trucks on the road, it really takes the piss to misreport stuff like that

I suppose if I got snapped doing 70 in a 40 variable limit I could say well you lied about the f****** FOG, so I presumed you lied about the speed limit!

To the best of my knowledge and going on information received from the police in 5ive-o, those matrix sign speed limits are ADVISABLE, not ENFORCEABLE.

According to the Highway Code, speed limits are only enforceable if surrounded by an unbroken red circle.

(DISCLAIMER : It is in no way my fault if you test this, get snapped and receive points and / or a fine. :D )

The M25 matrix signs often have limits in red circles.

True Dave, and I'm not being funny Anita BUT after receiving a NIP though the post how would you be able to prove that they didn't have red circles? I'm sure the onus would be on you to prove they did not.

Now don't get me wrong I've got a clean licence BUT this really does pee me off! Now wheres my petrol bombs and ladder!:D
