Yes I know, it's a sports car, not a utility vehicle, etc, but I'm really not interested in whether people think it's aesthetically pleasing or not as it wouldn't be a permanent fixture! :D

I've just taken up kayaking and I want to buy a kayak. There's no problem with that, but I need to be able to get the kayak from my house down to the local lake/river or very occasionally over to a mate's house 50-60 miles away.

The problem is that I own a 300ZX, I don't have another car (other than my wife's 944), I don't need another car and I don't want another car! ;)

All I want to be able to do is take my kayak with me occasionally, so I'd like to buy a roof rack for my 300ZX. I've seen pictures of one, so I assume there must be one available.

I'd want something removable, as I wouldn't want to leave it on the car any longer than I had to.

Anyone got any ideas?

That's not actually as stupid as it sounds! :D

The only problem is that kayaks tend to get wet and dirty, so keeping it outside the car would be ideal. ;)

Thick blanket and a length of rope? :D

Alternatively, this place do racks for practically every Nissan except the Z32 - but they do one for the Z31; you might be able to contact them regarding compatability. Good luck.

teck rear seat out etc. and if passenger seat is free -bet u cud get it in then ;)

There is a rack for skis available, maybe a kayak would fit on this?

I've seen the pictures. Any idea where I could get one of these?

Whatever you do, Dave, when you get home and store the thing, you have to keep it outside or in a building that is only at ambient temperature.

As everyone knows, you can't have your kayak and heat it.

That's the best you could come up with in 4 hours! :D
