white smoke - help !!

Hello there folks,

white smoke is coming from the exhausts of my twin turbo 1990 jap import.

It doesn't smoke all the time. If you start if from cold - no smoke.

When you take the car for a drive, get it up to operating temperature and then stop and leave the engine running, it doesn't smoke.

Its only seems to smoke when after you take the car for a drive. Stop the car, leave it for a few minutes and then start it up again and then white smoke comes from the exhausts. Sometimes one exhaust is worse than the other.

The boost gauge is reading finr (about 5 mmHg) and I think the oil presure is fine. (Come somebody out there tell me what the oil pressure dhould be at idle and during normal driving on a jap spec TT (manual)?

The smoke is white and not blue and it doesn't smell like oil burning but something's not right.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

Thanks again.

Martin.

Cheers.

If you look up the top there, there is a link called FAQ. Clicky clicky and you will see another load of links, one of which is Smoke Diagnosis.

Which, as a service to the community :D is http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/SmokeDiag.htm
