On my MOT, the chap pointed out to me that what he called my "top rear bush" which is just behind the rear wheel.

Scince he's told me i swear i can feel that wheel moving a bit on bumps though i might be imagining it, it also makes the tyre wear on the outside.

Anyone know what the real name for it is, how much it can be bought for and whether a mere motal like me can fit one, or will i need expert help??

Many thanks

i was also told that but it was the bush at the front of the rear wheel which u cant replace. have had 2 buy a new rear subframe. goe an ask ur local nissan dealer as subframes are flippin xpensive:( :(

I think you are just imagining things!

Don't think that it is the subframe one you are talking about but you could look on the zcentre website and see if you can see a pic of the poly bushes which you are talking about.

Erm you got ripped! You don't need to replace the subrame to replace the bushes ffs! Just knock the old ones out and replace with poly ones...

Fitting them is a different matter all together though. Whole rear subframe has to come off including diff etc - best left to the big boys really but will cost £££££££.

bummer didnt no u could buy aftermarket bushes. thats 500pound down the drain.

£500? TBH then you aren't *that* badly off. For the full bush kit (for most of the car) the cost is around £175. Then you'de have to fit the subframe bushes so with labour there won't be that much difference. Ok maybe a few hundred quid if that but it certainly aint that drastic ;)

well i paint cars an the garage next door is my nissan dealer so i paint the mechanics cars an they fix my z. a sweet set up:D :D
