Can I use Lacquer on an amplifier ?

I know these things get hot but I'm not sure if I laqcuer it will it blister or peel ?

these were my amps before I painted them

Then I painted them with Radiator paint good for up to 200 degres C.

I would like them to shine a bit more and also hold the 300zx sticker in place as it's meant for a window although it is holding well.

Any thoughts ?

I'd like to know if your Z is a special import as mine never came with mains sockets in the boot like yours! :D

Chris, It's not an import as those plugs are UK plugs. What I'd like to ask Stu is how it is that his Zed has such a deep boot as I can see boots and trainers a meter or so below the amps. LOL :D

Van

Stu you can use laquer in your engine bay never mind cool amps;)

Yeah, Macca uses high temperature nail varnish when he's working on a hot engine! :D

I have lacquer on my brake calipers. If I didnt the paint would just fall off so easily like they it did on DaveW's calipers ;)

LOL, cool

I kinda new that anyway but it was the only way I could get away with shoing you my sprayed up amps in the help and advice forum :D :D.

And sorry to say guys that the picture was take in my workshop hence the old kitchen work surface, dodgy cabinets and muddy boots :D

I like to call it my workshop anyway, the missus calls it a conservatory :D :D

dont go overboard with the lacquer though a couple of thin coats and some buffing will do nicely, the more paint on, the hotter the amp will get !
