i have recently bought a zx import that has been running on 5 on and off since i bought it and after a zx owner looked at it we pinpointed it down to the wires to the coils(spark plugs). i took the covers off the wires and there were no breaks but moving the wires made it run on 5 and less. the wires are brittle and iwould like to replace them along with the connectors to the coil. where can iget them from without replacing the whole loom as i wouldnt be confident enough myself unless somebody else could do it?

You may want to replace the injector connectors while you are at it as well, because these are prone to just give up after a while, as we found out with James' car a few months ago :D

Or failing that Concept Z, as Jaffa is about to order some stuff from there, and may be prepared to help you out :-

ithank you. I have been on the conceptz site and have seen "nissan oem efi wiring harness" is this the bit of kit i will need to replace all wires and connectors? it says it should be done with engine out of car, has anyone done it whilst in car and would a zx newbie like myself be able to do it?

thanks I did see them but they looked like they were just the connectors without the wires. if they come with wire where would i cut the old/or connect the old?

Well just give yourself a bit of room to make it easy to solder on the new connectors. About 6 inches up maybe?

yes but the wires are dud aswell i think when u squeeze some of them they cut out and when u move them?

You wont actually re-wire the connectors, they are already done. Cut them further up so all you have to do is solder the wires together? Get what I mean?
