My air-con compressor whines when in use. Does anyone know if these pumps can be serviced (e.g. new vanes/blades etc.) or does anyone have a spare they'd like to sell. The aircon works fine but I'm sure it'll eventually seize !!

Of course it is very hard to say from here, but I have had them when it is the front clutch making the noise and the actual compressor is OK.

And this can be replaced with a new unit, without distrubing the actual aircon side, depending on location etc. And if I remember right. But look hard first, you might be lucky.

where abouts are you?? i know of a place in Kent that overhauls AC compressors.
