Help?!?!

 

My zed is red and is it is fast, and my Fiesta is green and it is slow. But my mate, right, say that black is faster.

 

I dont understand?? :confused:

There is nothing to understand. Every one knows that red is the fastest colour. People with red cars know this and people with other coloured cars know this to but lie about it. Pure jealousy.

black is slowest because the black surface absorbs all the suns radiation -this makes the air near the surface hotter -the hot air rises and reduces down pressure which causes reduced traction ;) So white or silver is fastest :cool:

errm that is techincally incorrect it was an audi engine, audi chassis, and Bently name, so in other words it should have been called a BAUDI :D:D:D

Did a scientific test of this today;

 

On the A444 today i overtook lots of cars, and no one over took me, all the cars were lots of colours but mine was fastest, and as mines red this proves that red is definately the fastest colour.

ROFL at this thread. Scientific proof that certain coloured cars are faster, whatever next!

Well as white paint reflects more visible light than say black paint then black must absorb the photons therefore increasing the mass and slowing down the car !

 

So a white car will be faster than a black car !

 

And if you don't believe me then that is why a black car will be hotter when standing in the sun ! ;)

If black paint absorbs photons that means its reducing resistance to its forward motion (cos as light is both a wave and a particle, it has (admittedly infintessimally small) MASS;) )

Ergo by reflecting the photons white & silver cars are actually creating tiny amounts of friction, thus slowing the car down.:eek:

Similarily when you drive around with your headlights on the light particles generate an oppsing force to your cars forward movement, making your car slower at night - unless you drive everywhere in reverse.(Obviously cars have rear lights too, but they are less powerful relative to the fronts, leading to a reduced effect)

It is perhaps with this in mind that Nissan designed the 300zx with such poor headlights, so as to maintain performance levels at night.....

Therefore Black cars are faster than silver and white ones, red ones hide the blood better and all other colours are driven by artsy foreign types, probably with small hands and suspicious beards.....

Red cars are driven by people who NEED to BELEIVE they are faster, and have to tell everyone at every oppotunity. Sad really.

Without any technical justifications etc.....I love RED and IMHO it looks the nuts on any super sports car
