I've noted that the TT's have 245/45/16 as std on the rear and need to know if this would also be a good move on an NA SWB. Mine are the stock 225/50/16 all round. Would keeping to 225/50/16 front and uping to 245/45/16 rear improve the drive.

I've also notice as my alloys are aftermarkets, the front are 16" 7J and the rears 16" 8J so hopefully no problems with the added width.

Comments and experiences appreciated.

Is this becuase of the 8J's on the rear. If so, would 245/45 solve the prob then?

The stock wheels in Japan are the same fron tnad back.Uk are larger on the rear.

Because you have 8's on the back 245's would be the best option anyway, not sure why they have 225's on them in the first place . If the previous owner wasnted the rear wheels an inch wider than the fronts, it makes no sense to put the same size tyres on them. You need 245/45 zr16 on the back.

Cheers Andy and Stuart, as I thought. Will be sorted Friday :D
