Due to various hobbies and the fact that the interim 6,000 mile service on the TVR cost £850 (and I used to moan about Z prices!), I want to get myself a reliable but cheap estate car. I'm looking for something the size of Sierra Estate & spending no more than £2,000 (but happy to pay less).

I want cheap insurance and reliability - I can live without performances / prestige / looks.

Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Cheers

Dave

We have a Sierra Estate Ghia. 2.0i EFI.

Its funny when you blitz Astra GTE's and XR2i's with ease. Done 120mph with more left. Infact the 5th gear is too high for the car. It has broken down for the first time ever, with over 120,000 miles on the clock and the original Cambelt. Mum has trashed 3 cars in it. It is a tank.

I would get one of them. Our is a G reg and is prob worth about £1500. You can get younger ones for slightly more

Dave,

Get a Capri 2.8injection with fluffy dice, then you will be a fully fledged Trevor instead of having a car named after one...LOL!

No offense intended!
