Changed the PCV Valves and all the hoses at the weekend (fun job not) anyway my valves were all ok so if anybody wants the old ones there welcome to them FOC

Featured Replies

I still haven't got round to doing mine yet!

How long did the job take you?

All in all about two hours for all 5 hoses, not the easiest of jobs i must say

Were they actually OK ? It's the springs that go weak - if you shake the valve and it rattles then they're bin fodder. Alternatively, if they're just gummed up with cak then they could probably be cleaned and reused.

Just received my valves (brand new) and they rattle. Are the fooked?

yes would question that, as the springs in them are weak anyway, a good shake will cause them to rattle. Surely there is a more "scientific" test??

Also Baggins, you may want to think about keeping them if they are cushty. Think BIG PICTURE :)

They do rattle if I give them a little shake. But when I push a pen down onto the metal plate they go down and come back no problem. Do these sound Ok.

I just dont want to fit the buggers and find out they are dud!...

Cheers.
