First of all big thanks to Johnny at GRASSHOPPER MOTORSPORT for the timer.

what am i doing wrong fitted the turbo timer to the car also boost pipework, i used the propper wiring harness so just straight plug fit to original harness i earthed the single blue wire as it says either fit to handbrake switch or earth.

what is happening is all works fine if you turn off the the key one notch timer does its job keeping engine running for calculated time. when i turn the key another notch so i can remove key all dead and cuts out shouldnt it still be running till the end of the countdown, have i done something wrong? the old turbo timer i had, i used to be able to take the key out and it would work.

also there is a micro switch on the back of the control unit with A-B on it what is this for as i can't find it in the manual

someone else must have come across this.

big thanks "MR T"........

I've got the FATT DC one if that's the same one. I know they have changed the range recently.

It should do as you say and keep the timer running.

I can only think it's something to do with an imobiliser or how the old timer had been wired in.

chris i have wired it to the same wiring as the old one that worked fine. the alarm and immob was fitted from day one. i will test wire voltage to see if that is why it cuts out. maybe i havent a constant live when key removed.

Was the old one a similar model and did you fit it yourself?

It might be that they disconnected something to fit the old one.

On mine I can't take the key out until the timer has gone off - Does that not happen?

The timer must be OK as it's just a standard harness so nothing to go wrong there.

Maybe you didn't get a good earth on the blue wire?

I think that would cause your problem.

Try a different location for it?

Chris.
