Without the painfull labouring of cleaning every nook and cranny, has anyone a solution for cleaning the engine bay etc. Previous vehicles I've cleaned with steam or simple jet spray but these 300's resemble the national grid.

Cheers

Just done mine for 8 squiid -

Halfords gotta a two can product, degreaser and detailer...

just follow instruct on can, when spraying degreaser off with hose, use mist spray...when degreased and rinsed, let dry, spray wet look stuff in engine bay, wash car and stand back and admire, give self pat on back for being clever boy.

I have treated several cars in this way and have had no problems.

hope this helps

I personally wouldn't get any water under there at all! This is just my opinion and would go for toothbrush and pita method.

The electrical connections are usually bad enough without any help from water to make them any worse!

Did some one say engine cleaning!!:D :D :D

A favorite hobby of mine;)

Tools reqired,

Can of WD40,

Bottle of Autoglym super resin polish,

A soft old toothbrush,

Pack of cotton buds,

Some cotton wool,

Lots of rags and dusters.

.... oh and a pack of those disposable latex gloves, if tou get the dirt on your hands it takes weeks to come off.

After 6 hours (and without a drop of water) it should look like this (see pic)
