My Blitz dump vavles started releasing pressure the other day!!

Nightmare!!

Understandably the boost pressure dropped to .5 bar......

Checked inside the engine bay and i got a lot of whoshing:(

Had it checked out today and they were seized, the guy doing it freed them up and cleaned them...

Does anyone know if this has long term issues? Do i need to get some new valves?

Heeellllllllp.............

if youve cleaned them and now they work ok, i dont see why u have to buy new ones

You could buy new ones and let me have the old ones :D

Dave

bastard why didnt i think of that

Had my Blitz ones fitted for over 3 years, never had a problem with them, however the same can't be said for the HKS ones:rolleyes:

Nothing wrong with HKS ones mate.

I've had mine fitted for over two months and never had any problems with them  However the same can not be said for the Blitz ones. ;)

Sent you an email.... do you get goosehonk with these fitted.

I have a had a set fitted but the I can still hear goosehonk although not quite as bad. The existing recircs are still installed with the small pipe disconnected.

The recircs must still be passing by but how do I stop it presumably you can't just remove them completely.

Any Ideas?????????

Dean,

thnk about this last night after I sent a reply to your mail.

You say that you disconnected the vaccum pipe, but did you also cap off the main air pipe ?, if not you will still get the air passing through the recirs.

Someone correct me if I am wrong here. I fitted my BOVS in place of my recircs, so I'm not 100% sure if you still need to cap off the air pipe when fitting on the hard pipes.

No I never ever have had goosehonk, the factory recircs need to be capped off!

Hi Stu,

I have disconnected the vacumn pipe, this is the one that goes down to the original recircs but I did not cap it off.

Is this the main pipe you mean???????

I have taken some photos which I will mail to you later tonight.

Dean, by disconnecting the vac hose the recircs will open under throttle closed conditions. Look at the recircs, you will see a 1" pipe about 4" long which loops back onto the air inlet. You need to remove this and plug the holes that are left. The recircs are then no longer in the equation ;) You could also try reconnecting the vac line - this will hold the recircs shut under goose-honk conditions ;)
