Alright guys

Anyone been supplied with turbos from ESSEX turbos at all, i have been on the blower to them, and they can supply me with a pair of 360 degree ones for a touch over the grand mark, and suggested a guy in colchester to take on the job, Bob Parker?, phoned him up, and he's looking for 500 quid to do the job, so all in all i think just over 1500 quid for hybrid turbos fitted, is pretty damn good???

Anyone agree???

Any other places ?? Havent got time to wait for silvia, been waiting 3 weeks for their price list......

Have heard of this guy in Colechester who fits the turbos without removing then engine (must do for £500). There are a couple of others, Darren in Kent (if you can get ahold of him - try via Topless) and also another place in Essex, but name escapes me right now - will post in a while.

alright andy

i spoke to the guy 'bob parker', about the engine removal, and his response was that, that was the only way to do the turbos, so 500 quid is definitley cheap.. ??

The other place Westfield motors???

Its a basildon tel code, so thats literally 3 mins from me, gonna give them a call too.

Cheers mate

Phuck a duck! That's cheap all in.

I never realised this but the turbo fitting with the engine is actually in the service manual.

Very, very interested to see how you get on if you do go with Bob though.

I know that replacement turbos from SE are around the 1600 squid mark plus they charge 650 to pull/refit the engine plus any labour on top for fitting the hair dryers.

alright again andy

just phonned up westfield, they are well helpful, gonna book it in in about 2 weeks time, gotta phone him again for the exact price but its about 7 hours labour, and he only wants it for a week, which is better for me. its in raleigh, bout 15 mins from me, sorted

Thanks alot for your help andy, really appreciated.

Cheers

erm, does he work very short days?? :D & either way, 7 hrs doesnt seem like much labour time??

westfield are very good i hear, although a mechanic I spoke to said he was didnt the 300zx at all and that it was a mecahnical nightmare, thats the main reason i havnt used them so far.

I would probably go to them for major work though theyve had a few in i know and they do a good job on my m8s mr2. They are just extremely busy atm.

Paul,

Have you phoned Mike Freney yet, I'm sure he be able to give you a gentle nudge in the right direction.

Also I've got the PCV valves and hoses that you wanted. Does this mena you are just going to go ahead and get new turbo's without trying the PCV valves etc first ?.

There is no noise from your turbo's and no lack of performance and to be honest I know you say they smoke allot but there wasn't that much when I had a look at it.

Are you really sure you want to change your turbo's ???.

And do you still want these Valves and hoses that I ordered for you ?

Thought I'd check out Westfield on me way home... but couldn't actually get up the kirb to get round to their unit! Damn!

7 hours? LMFAO!!! Let me know how he gets on :D

Im sceptical as well andy, but I know westfield are an extremely good garage, they mainly do toyotas and often have stacks of mr2's and supras in there and have worked on a bunch of 300zx's

I have yet to hear a bad thing about them.

i've got nissan 300zx import, could you tell me where can i finde a cheapest inchurance. i hope you'll help me thank's tomas

Alright Guys

So 7 hours is a bit short then, im just waiting at the mo for the fitting cot from westfield's, Bob parker said he would take the lump out and fit the turbos for 500 quids, which is very good, SE prices they said started at 1500 quids, and ESSEX Turbochargers are supplying me with T26 Hybrids i thinks, for 1022 quids, they say they'll run 17/18 psi all day long forever...... and they'll gareentee them?? Im only gonna take it too the 14 psi, 1 bar limit max. But i just need a garage that i can trust and aint gonna f_ck me car up, i dont trust that many garages, i used to see what went on in my mates fast fit place.........

Plus Westfield deal mainly in toyota and lexus, and they aint much easy than a 300zx to mess about wiv, i think??????????

So you reckon i should go ahead if the price is right.??

Oh and Insurance, im wiv Adrian Flux, they do imports which mine is, and im paying 1200 quid im 23 by the way, which i think is ok, better than 3 grand what tesco wanted. plus the tracker they require????
