Morning all,
As my car is currently in the garage getting it's radiator rebuilt and a fuel leak fixed, I have some time to think ahead to next projects. I am already well advanced on my ICE planning (all-round Alpine system incl. 10" sub, Amp, head and component speakers). Will start fabricating the housing for the sub and the amp when the car is back.
What I'd also like to have done is get window tinting. I have currently got horrible tinting on the hatch window which has an untinted strip right across (former Japanese owner did this). I am trying to find a place that will take this crap off (which seems to be difficult as the glue refuses to be scraped off without damaging the rear defoger circuits) and put on new film for a reasonable price. So far I've been quoted anywhere between £200-£350 for the rear hatch and side windows. Is this normal? If anyone knows of a place that will do it for less money but professionally then I'd like to hear from you.
Also, on my list of things to get for the car is a WingsWest rear bumper and Veilside side-skirts. Where is the best place to get these and have them painted/fitted? I am aware of the ZCentre doing things like these and would like to hear from anyone who has experience with them fitting stuff.
Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a late-model steering wheel to my '90 import. Mine is kind of knackered and I would ultimately like to fit an airbag system to the car (driver side only if necessary). I also like the look of later model steering wheels.
Thanks for you comments!
Cheers,
Danny
