John,

Version S I think is a NA.

If your looking at buying from a Japanese auction give me a phone, I may be able to give you some advice.

The version S was one of the grades/spec that was offered. In the last year 1999 there was the Version R which I think was the highest spec model, followed by the Version S, followed by the 'basic' 300ZX. The Version S was available in both the 2+2 and the 2+0 and both offered either in Turbo or NA guise. The 2+0 was only available (in 1999) as a manual, whereas the 2+2 was available either as manual or automatic. In earlier years there were also special Version S's - the "Ricaro" being one with Ricaro seats and different (Oz?) wheels.

The Version S is effectively, I think, the delux version to the bread-and-butter 300ZX. The Version R the super delux, I believe.

Ciao, Geoff
