My car is in at Nissan as we speak for hesitation and brake problems. For the Hesitation they are gonna replace the airflow meter, any idea how much this should cost?

also, for the brakes he said the pads were stuffed and the discs needed machining and new pads, what should I be paying for this?

Ever thought of bringing your car to another dealer for a second opinion ?

From the stories you wrote on here, it seems to me your current Nissan-dealer doesn't know shit about these cars..

Air flow meter is pretty expensive...I would first try one from another Z and see if it cures the problem (I doubt it)

Maybe someone on the aussie/nz-forum is willing to lend you his/her AFM. (by the way..TT/NA air flow meters are the same)

New stock discs are not that expensive, I can get them here in Holland for around 50GBP a piece.

Having them machined probably costs 20GBP per disc

For brakepads I can recommend MetalMatrix (which are made in Australia !)...you should be able to get those for around 50GBP (front + rear)

Hey Breed777,

My car is in for hesitation as well. Wasn't too bad for a while but then got worse to the point on nearly stalling the engine before shooting off. They found a fuel leak on mine which is now being fixed. Might be worth to have that checked. Again - take Lymon's advice about second opinions. I did and (fortunately) the diagnosis turned out to be identical. But be warned, in general dealers seem to think that Z32 owners are made of money ...

Good luck!

Danny

Mine is still under warranty so that why the cost doesnt bother me, this is Nissans last shot, so I guess a New Airflow meter for me smile.gif

From memory someone mentioned the airflow meter was a staggering £600.00 on a recent post...

I would be amazed if it were but then it is Nissan.
