Car is pulling to the left

OK - it always did it a little bit due to road camber - but I had all the wheels off over the weekend and now the car seems to pull a bit more than usual - thought it might be a sticky caliper and so have put some replacements on that are OK and this hasnt helped a lot - could the wear on the tyres be causing it and is it worth swapping them over to see if that causes it - it was only after I had them off the car I noticed it happen...

Any ideas appreciated.

Mine pulls to the left. Some times its really bad and other time it doesnt happen at all. Different roads effect it in different ways.

It could be the camber of the front wheels or even the castor angle. When I got a 4 wheels check they also tell you your caster angle which can be adjusted. I think its a lot easier to adjust if you have adjustable tension rods.

Dont swap your left and right wheels over if theyre stock (well not for long periods anyway), as you have left and right wheels, indicated by a little L or R on the side of the wheel.

In that case perhaps I should swap them back and see what happens! I wonder - as my front wheels wear on the inside that if they wear at different rates, then the tyre profile has changed - I'll swap them and let you know!!

Well I obviously didnt pay attention to the wheels when I put them back on as I put each one on the wrong side - so much for the laws of averages - anyway - car runs straight as a die now.

I have got aftermarket wheels on which pull heavily to the left, apparently caused by excessive camber and castor on the right side of the vehicle. However, my tyre guy tells me he can't see any way of adjusting camber and castor on the zed (mine's a normally aspirated 1990 model). Is this true?

true, cant be done on a stock front suspension. you need adjustable tension rods and adjustable upper arms (or shim kit)
