car revs up high

my 300zx tt started reving high, its ok for the first hour then the revs go up to about 1000 rpm, could it be the tps?:confused:

    Probably the temp sensor. What's the ECU telling you when you run a diag ?

    Yeah probably the tps. Mines doing it all the time at moment. Broken wire I think time to get a new one.

    Mine ticks over at 1000rpm all the time, what should it tick over at?

    once it's warmed up it should idle around the 750 mark

     

    with air con my idle goes up to about 900.
