Well the Zed has anyway ...

Caught the whiff of hot coolant a couple of times recently, taken a good look round but no sign of where the leak might be. Got home yesterday and the Techtom was indicating a couple of degrees higher than normal, left the car ticking over for a minute or two and the temp went up ! Finally noticed that it's damp down the back of the rad - bummer. Had lost just over a litre and the expansion tank was empty, so it looks like my shiney new rad from Wazzers Ally Fabrication and Duplication Industries Ltd (RSA) may be getting fitted a little sooner than I planned. Just hoping that I don't have to do the water pump as well (prob not because it's only about 25,000 miles old). Guess the car is punishing me for thrashing it so mercilessly recently. :(

So anyway, that's Saturday morning arranged for me ....

oh thats not a nice one, word of advise when fitting, its extreemly tight fitting. and the two guids at the bottom need trimming, so fit it in first (you might need to remove the rubber seats at the bottom) then put it in and see how muhc needs trimming of the bottom.

OK, Thanks. I was hoping to get a bleed screw fitted into the top LH tank, but I'll have to live without now.

the way the cap top has been designed you dont need one (i did ask for them but he ran otu of time) it took ages for me to bleed mine, but i found the best way to do it (sounds stupid) is to leave cap of at night when car is parked up, then just keep filling it every morning ect (i dont use car during the week) it worked a treat took about 2 days to get rid of absolutely everything.
