Guest Rod dude
Ive noticed recently that if I coast over harsh bumps in the road the car skips to the right. I think I've isolated it to the right rear that is causing the problem. I've had various theories thrown at me but wondered if it could be any of the following:- 1) Tyre pressures to high on back. I've got 225's on the back pumped to 40psi? 2) One dodgy shocker on that side 3) HICAS f*&ked (Oh god please no!) 4) A bush knackered giving the rear wheel steer a bit more play than it ought to have. 5) Rear anti roll bar loose. Any help would be appreciated, I'm taking it in to my trusty mechanic on Friday to sort a couple of things out. So any pointers would be go. Guest JonJon
Shocks on mine. But I've also a dodgy ball joint which I've yet to replace. MAC1, Did your worn ball joint sound like a dog barking when going over bumps?

Trevz
Ive got 225's on the back of mine aswell, cant wait to change 'em tho. I had 32psi in them and it felt too much - back end skipped in 1st/2nd on full power so ive got 30 in them now . Last owner had 22 all round! If yours have 40 it must hop all over road?! Guest Rod dude
I seem to have sorted the problem - my mechanic had a good look around - poked and proded a few things, everything seemed pretty solid. So we did a 4 wheel lazer alignment. The front was fine, the back which should be 1.25° toe-in ±1.25° was actually 7° toe out. Hmmm me thinks that can't have helped!! Got the car on the road and it felt like a completely different car. Before it less than inspired me round corners, in fact it scared the be-jeesus out of me. Now it corners pretty well although, Im still a little apprehesive since I have had some hairy moments!! Cheers for the help everyone.
