Now you tell me why shell oil is better for my Z than Castrol RS 10/60:rolleyes:

Featured Replies

I'm afraid I am not in a position to say either is better. All I can tell u is that both are probably very good oils (Shell Helix Ultra is definitely) as I think they are both fully synth and have high additive treat rates.

I have been told that in comparative tests, Shell Helix Ultra came out the overall best, even tho' some other oils (perhaps Castrol R/s/Mobil 1 etc.) were better in certain properties/tests.

So either is very good, Shell MAY be better.

Matty.

Anybody tried one of those 'Beartrap' things that claps onto your oil filter then ?

$20 + carriage seems good value, if it actually works !

No - tell me more...........

I had a dirty great magnet stuck to my oil filter for a while but it fell off eventually. Did cut open an old oil filter to see if it caught anything, but found nothing at all.
