HMV on Oxford Street just had a giant launch party for Gran Turismo 3.
There was a queue of several hundred people waiting (first 50 get the wheel free). Loads of free t-shirts and keyrings being handed out.
2 Page 3 girls arrive in a Honda S2000 with GT3 logos all over it.
5 minutes later, the creator of the Gran Turismo game arrived in the same S2000.
The band Feeder (who do the title track) were inside HMV playing. If you beat them at the game, you get a free, signed album.
I got to speak to the guy who made GT3 and get this, 2 of his favourate cars: Ferrari 355 Spyder and the Nissan Fairlady!!!! Good taste.
I couldn't hear whether he currently owns both but he certainly has a lot of passion for fast cars (hardly suprising). I had to go in the end as it was too noisy and crowded but I'm heading back there at lunchtime to get an autograph.
Working in the West End has its pluses!!

What a cool day, and all because I just happened to come across this web page last night: http://www.gamespot.co.uk/stories/news/0,2160,2091529,00.html
I'm a very happy bunny.
