Hi,

My traction control seems to be playing up. It decided to misfire now and then but stops when I turn it off.

The wheels speeds are all being picked up correctly and it runs fine when it's off so it's not the injectors either.

This problem comes and goes, another problem I have with it is that it has decided to set a rev limiter at 4,500 rpm (which is the same setting as my launch control) again this clears when I turn it to the off position.

Before I start shouting at racelogic customer services (if there is such a department), I would like to quickly swap it over with someone else's unit that is working. It will only be a quick unplug and swap for 5 mins just to make sure its the box rather than the control unit (i.e. with the dial and launch etc.). So if anyone is near me in the Romford (Essex area) and wouldn't mind sparing 10 mins or so, I would really appreciate it.

If not I can always wait until I fit Ajay's for her and borrow her unit :D (she'll never know.... unless she reads this DOH !!! ;) )

Thanks in advance

Really appreciate that Andy thanks, but I've just heard form the garage and it seems I need a new engine or a rebuild so I don't think my car will be going anywhere unless it's urgent.

I think I'll have to wait until next weekend when I can borrow Ajay's before I fit it for her.

If you can get a lap top on it and get the data logging going, you will see all the information that the TC box recieves and what it sends out. There you will be able to see if it is the TC sending the misfire, or if it is one of your ABS sensors is dropping a signal.

This happened to me when I got mine. Wheel 0 always kept dropping signals no matter which wheel was wired to it. My traction control never worked. I would be driving along and the car would almost cut out and drive like a bitch because of it.

I sent the box back and they tested it but found no faults so my wireing must have been at fault but they changed it anyway. Hmmmm plugged it in and its never gone wrong once.

Well I don't mean to sound big headed. But I know my wiring is good. :D

Run Traclog on it a few days ago and the wheel speeds are being picked up.

It seems like these boxes can be a little tempremental at times. But when they work they are Bliss :D

We'll see what I get with a different box plugged in.
