Went shopping for new 18's with SRRAE today- thanks for the patience mate

I am amazed how difficult it is to get wheels to fit a zed, the biggest problem is that of brake caliper clearance.

Anyway, I've got my eye on a set of these :-

What do you think???

The only problem is that the widest size they have is 8"- any ideas on the widest tyre that I can get to fit on these?

Cheerz,

Dave

Zoinks, them volks not my cup of tea...im sure someone will like them tho! :)

Regards

Dave let me know what you come up with in the states, I couldn't believe the piss poor selection over here!

I went into elite wheels a while ago and they were about as useful as a chocolate teapot!

A word of warning wrt volks.

I have a set, but to get them to fit a zed, they had to have twin spacers to clear the brake. result is that they are herdly fastened to the hubs at all, ie on the very last turn of the bolt thread.

If anyone can advise how I can get longer bolts I'd be very pleased, cause otherwise the wheels are the dogs!

(I need to get them refurbed though, so if you know somewhere up north who can do this, please let me know).

I don't have the problem with the spacers that you have, on my car the spacers/adaptors are secured to the hubs and the wheels in turn bolted to the adaptors. To me it looks a pretty

'correct' way to have them mounted, not sure if the spacer/adaptors are a Volk product or not, I'll get some photos if you want.

Yeah the choice for the ZX at general outlets is limited. I tried R Tech in St. Albans an out of a massive selection of wheels they had just 2 to fit the ZX.

Geoff.
