... of the rear of a Zed with the spoiler removed, prior to firtting a new one?

I'd be interested to know what's underneath and how much remedial work will be needed to fill holes etc. So I can get a MkII spoiler fitted. I know I need to buy a perspex panel for above the light clusters.

Thanks in advance

Tim,I have the perspex fitted on my car I think is looks nicer than the spoiler,I will post some pictures this week.

cheers

Rod.

I was talking to someone yesterday about this 'cleaning' up of the rear and he said that you needed a tailgate skin.

Having looked at the pic above and this

I can't see why you can't just weld up the holes and fit the new spoiler (the MkII version).

Any 1st hand experience welcomed, I've seen some Zeds with a rear skin and they have all looked a bit iffy, so not sure I want to go this route.

Tim asked Peter and you don't need the tailgate skin,He said he was doing this on a Z at the mo.

No, you don't need a skin. Just cut a sheet of steel up into 50p piece sizes, weld them to the underneath of the tailgate to 'block' up the holes.

Now a light skim of body filler and the remaning holes will vanish!!

HTH.

Right! off it comes. Now wheres my mig???:D
