Thanks to Jeff at Zedworld yesterday he seems to have made my car much happier! :D

The idle today is lots better, (if it stays like it is I can live with it)

It also seems to pick up quicker and doesn't feel flat like it normally does.

It's nice to drive now! :D

Cheers Jeff!

Here's a couple of vids I did today.

0-80mph after a service

80-110mph

Is it still way off what Zeds should run like?

Or does this now look like the performance of a stock TT?

Can't deem to get it to play Eric , just get the MEdia player box up without any active buttons:(

I can load it too.

This usually happens when you compress it into a strange resolution.

Stuart

It's just a normal avi file

Which version of media player are you using?

They work fine on version9 of Mediaplayer

worked fine for me.

As for does that look quick enough, id say probably not but its v.hard to tell just sitting watching and not feeling it.

What just looks slow to me is the speed of first gear, or is it an auto having a slightly harder 1st?

It does seem a little slow when starting off.

Once it gets above 30 it starts to pull quite well.

Could be my autobox having a dodgy first gear I suppose, never thought of that.

When you put it in those terms Tony, it makes me smile :D

There does seem a slight delay from first to second but being an auto they can do that, you would improve it i think if you were to fit a HKS ALC,would maintain the line pressure far better, just a thought;)

What's an ALC?

Also a friend mentioned getting it chipped at Zedworld for £350.

He said I should be able to run 14PSI without any problems.

Do you think 14PSI is safe?

I reckon should be able to get that 0-60 down to 6 seconds then ;)

Dont take upping the pressure too lightly. A slight increase will give you quite a lot of power. 14PSI is OK but it is better to have uprated intercoolers for that as it will help stop the detonation.

I would try get your car working well first. You could have a boost leak as 0-60 should be 5.2 for a 2 seater and 5.4ish for a 2+2.

Stuart

I suspected a possible boost leak.

How would I find the leak?

Gah i've done it shite loads of times in the last couple of months!

You'd need a little air compressor.

Take off the mas, and somehow attach the air line to the intake pipe, (perhaps stick it through a big rubber bung and stick that in the pipe).

Put pressure on the system ( not to much you dont want to damage any seals) and listen out for the hiss sound of any air leaks.

I live in Salisbury and id be happy to help, but there's probably some other dudes closer.

Thanks mate :)

I'd be glad for your help, I may take you up on that offer :D

Well that's fine by me, 07739 721777.

Expect next weekend ill be doing a timing belt change + general service + put on me nice new pcv's, so ill be covered in all kinds o crap anyway, a little more wouldnt hurt :)

I'll enjoy a trip down to Salisbury :D

As long as I've got enough cash for fuel :(

I must say on those videos your fuel level gauge seemed to be malfunctioning just as mine does. No matter what you do within a day itll be back to that same spot!

Maybe if i get a replacement from nissan it'll be ok?:p

LOL

Maybe I have a fuel leak as well as a boost leak :D

It's scary how much fuel it guzzles, all in the name of fun!

Oh well, I don't mind the fuel so much if I get the performance in return.

What's your name mate?, so I know what to call you when I phone ;)
