Anyone got an XP version of this software ?

I just got a Clifford AG4 alarm fitted and want to change a few things with the settings and alarm tones.

I have version 1.3 but it doesn't want to know on my laptop which has XP loaded on it.

hI,

I had the same problem, Cliffords website says it will be producing an XP version via the website, free download when available. I had to buy Partition magic and put win 98 on a dual boot system on my Laptop to run the software as at the moment it only runs on the old O/S.

Clifford website http://www.clifford.com

Have you tried right clicking on the executable. running it in

Windows 98/NT/95 Compatibilty mode.

This is a feature of XP.

Worked on a Program I had.

Good Luck!

I didn't know there was such a mode, cheers :D I'll give it a go.

Anyone know if this is possible with WIN2K?

I have the same problem, currently using a crappy old laptop to run wizard, really anoying!!

Cheers

Paul

Sorry Tried the same with windows 2000 and doesn't

have the same options.

Bugger!!! If anyone has any links to DEI or Clfford then tell them to hurry up, they have had that notice for XP/2K version for over a year!!!

Ironic that you spend £1000 on an alarm that is supposed to be the cutting edge of technology and you have to adjust it using a 166mhz laptop running win 98.

Grump over,

Paul:)

I'm with you on that one mate, I mean, how hard can it be to modify the drivers so it works on XP ?. IT shouldn't take them a year + .

could one of you guys give us some more info on this stuff please.

do I need special cables, software etc or can I just download from the url stated?

Where do I plug it into? I don't know where the alarm's ecu (is that the correct term?) is?

all help much appreciated as I want to make some changes to my clifford.

cheers

Only works on Clifford G4 alarms with wizard capability.

You require a wizard interface which comes with a 9 pin serial cable.

Software is free from Clifford.com (only 95,98, me and XP* compatible. *with above mentioned setting)

Wizard interface plugs into alarm interface connector and laptop serial port.

Wizard enables changing of parameters, timing and calibration settings and history log info. Useful if you use all of the features of your alarm.
