Now before anyone starts, I did check on the search and read through nearly all of the 103 posts including the words "timing belt" in the past year AND checked the parts catalogue on http://www.300zx.lv AND looked at Courtesy who don't exactly help as they make up the last half of their part numbers. hehehe lol :D

The question is are there different timing belts for Japanese 2+2 TTs to UK or US. The question arose because that's what the Nissan dealer said a few years ago. He fitted 13028-45P25

The timing belt as any fule kno is the bit indicated 13028M on this here diag if it comes out

When I try to put this into the parts database it uses 13028-45P86

It appears from the parts database that

13026-16V00 is superseded by 13026-45P00 which is superseded by 13026-45P25.

Which is the right one or are they all the same?

TIA - Gio

(if you think this is convoluted, wait till you see the q about the three pulleys marked 13077 on the same diag!)

cant help you on the belt, even though I just fittred mine! but the three pulleys are all idler pulleys, hence why they are all the same

Timing belt no: 1302845P86 is the one and only belt which is correct, (35 + fitted since Nov 2002) superceeding and alternative dealer codes do confuse things, my main Nissan supplier is very switched on to part numbers and is able to quote many zed parts from memory. However a dealer about 20 miles away uses completely different computor system and on their receipts the part numbers are their own and not the genuine Nissan number...very confusing.

My main supplier does uses the Nissan "Fast" system for checking odd parts he does`nt know and I can tell you the Fast Cd we lot have here is about a fifth of what`s on his, he also has shown me that UK Nissan dealer do have access to Jap part numbers direct from there screen! but tell the general public they do not, he regularly orders Jap spec only parts for me and usually gets them next day as most are already in the country or at worse in Holland.

Thanks guys,

I'd sort of suspected this was a supercession thing and that the latest number (as given by Jeff) was the only relevant one.

Anyone got contrary ideas?

Cheers - Gio
