if you don't have written proof in your service history, is there any way to ascertain whether you have had the above or not ?

 

I mean some people will call oil/filters/plugs etc. a major service but that's not a proper 60k service for a zed.

There is no way that you can find out if you car has had this service with out any paper work on it. There may be a garage which has your car on file saying its had the service but unless you know what garage that was you just dont know.

 

On mine, it was written on a sticker on the belt covers the mileage and date the last major service was.

I presume you got a UK Z? Not sure what computers Nissan run but when I had my BMW they could run my number plate through their system and it would tell them what work/servicing had been done on it, by any official BMW dealer.

...... and another spanner to throw in the works - if you don't know who did it, did they do a proper job using genuine nissan parts? For the cost of the 60k kit and labour it just isn't worth the risk IMO

How much roughly for a 60k service ?

Nelson, Nissan dealers should operate to menu pricing so you could start by ringing your local to find out. Of course, this will be the most expensive but should give you a price to come down from!

 

From memory, the Services run ABACABACA etc with A being minor and C being the biggy - which I guess would be the equivalent of 60k miles. But I've got a Jap so they're based on km and it doesn't compare exactly.
