Just hit a deer doing about 60 ish in my Pug 206.

Not happy after having to watch the poor thing roll about in the road for 10 minutes until it finally died :(

Not much I could do.

Feel really bad about it but it just launched itself out of the trees as I went past.

Wierd thing is I was only talking to Andy Duff this morning about a similar thing happening to me and my mate one night in his car 10 years ago.

I've got a bent wing but it sounded much worse from the bang as it launched about 4 feet in the air and 20 feet down the road.

Didn't even care about the car to be honest :(

Bad luck Chris,

I'm sure there's nothing you could've done mate. :(

Dave

I hit one in an astra on the A47 out peterbobro way once it darted out at the last second and as i didnt see it in front i thought it was a person at first (it was dark) luckily killed it on impact, went back to have a look, not very nice.

Really really really sorry about this - BUT:

Have you seen Freddy got fingered? :D

You gotta get inside the animals..... bwahahahahahaha

Anyway erm, it always seems worse when its a larger animal, feels like they have more idea of their surroundings. Just found out last night that our cats mother got run over last thursday night - wonder why we don't let ours outside....

CheerZ,

Andy

Why can't more cat owners do this?;) Maccer still finding cat shit in the garden:(

Deer are tough blighters too! The amount of damage they can cause to cars and get off scott-free... Unlike this one, unfortunately..

Bad one Chris........try not to beat yourself up, nothing you could of done mate. Must have been pretty horrible.......try and put it behind you.

It was a pretty large Roe Deer and with the speed I was doing I'm amazed there was not more damage to the car.

There's just a dent in the wing, the paint has splintered and the wing has been pushed back a fraction so it catches on the door when it opens.

If I'd been in the Z I reckon the whole fibreglass front would have gone.

Years ago when my mate hit one it just ran off into the woods but this one was not so lucky :(

at least it died relatively quickly, when they run off they can have long drawn out deaths.

on a lighter note, anyone seen me myself and irene

ChrisC at least you did not drive off and leave it for others to run over. Bloody big thing to hit though, and at least no one was hurt.
