I'm trying to add a photo to a reply thread!

I've never done it before but thought it would be quite straightforward, but it ain't!!

I've done what I think I'm supposed to do...but got told that there were more than 256000 bytes!!:(

It's just a photo which I have in my photo files, the same size as all the other photos that have been downloaded straight from my camera!!

Me no understand!!

Any help gratefully received.:D :D

Cheers,

F.T.

Thanks James.....that's what the problem is!!! :D :D ;)

Tony, use a picture that is on your hard drive, then you can see on the bottom of the post you are replying to attach file;) brouse through and add;)

Macca,

Thanks for that but I've done that already ,I think ,and it says my piccie is too many bytes!!

If you open the picture up in Paint shop pro or something, resize it to make it smaller, then attach.

Otherwise send it to me and I'll do it for you.

HTH

James

Just had another look at the pics, states they are JPEG image and 576 KB !!

Is that any help?

Yup, more than double what you're allowed. Get it down to 256K or under.

I've gone into paint shop and ended up with the left hand corner of the picture I am trying to make smaller!!

Surely there is a way to just downsize the whole picture?

Why the f*ck are computers so f*cking complicated!!! (yes I'm annoyed!)

If you're using PAINT then at the top, cant remember under which tab, there will be somnething like 'skew and stretch' go into that and you will see a percentage option, make them 50% and that will halve the size, etc.

.......not sure tbh if this reduces the k aswell?

This is why the life expectancy of PC Support workers is one third of the national average...along with the IQ of most PC users...;)

Tony - you've been PM'd.
