Anybody Had One, and How Much?

Where's the best place to take it. As I can't see that anybody

except for a specialist will want to even look at it.

Mine cost me 8.5k:eek:

But I did have bigger turbos, forged pistons, metal headgaskets etc done at the same time;)

Why do you need a rebuild? I got mine done because a cam pulley snapped and most of my valves got bent. I did all my upgrades then cos I didnt want to pay engine out labour twice....

The labour came to 2k+vat.

Engine went Bang on the Weekend.

Weighing up the Options.

1. Rebuild

2. Second Hand Engine

3. Scraping and Importing a new zed from Japan.

Oh well out to buy a cheap (Crap) Motor until I can

afford one of the above!

I've fixed the date column, can I just confirm that you wanted this date to be the date of the maximum maturity amount shown in the report. i.e. the date of the highest total_exposure amount for that parent id in the current period).

I'm still working on the additional restore option withint the GUI. I'll get back to you by COB today.

Well for the price of some of the cars in comparrision to the parts these days, think about this...

A rebuild is probably in the region of £2k - £3k.

A second hand engine will cost in the region of about £2k all in. However it is 2nd hand and there's no telling how long it's gonna last you.

You can break you Z if you have the space and get in the region of £2k if you sell 80% of the parts.

You can import a new Z for about £5k - £6k.

If my engine blew up, or I wrote the car off. I know I would get another Z and transfer all my current mods over to it.

BUSTED !!!!!

LMAO , how much of a plum do I feel !!!!!.

While I'm at work I use Microsoft outlook to type out my forum messages, I'm not with it today though ( a little tired), the worst thing is I actually sent that message to a Finance user who's response was....

Stuart,

Yes that's correct rather than the peak trade date it will be the maximum maturity date. I've checked this and it looks great.

There's no rush with the restore option as we can get tech services to do this in the meantime.

I didn't realise engine rebuilds were so expensive these days !

Can I also ask what a "Z" is ?

Richard

Anyone else having a really bad day ? :D

LOL :D :D Didn't even think you may have sent the Z stuff to the other guy!!!

Class, you should send him a pic of your car....

I just sent one back appologising for the confusion.

Didn't really know what to say, this guy heads up a small finance department, not sure what sort of a sense of humour he has

Just on a different kinda note, (you saying you were wondering about the guys sense of humour) well, you all must know by now that I do like a bit of a laugh and am always mucking about?

Well, you'd be surprised at the amount of people who are quite willing to be a bit 'stoopid and silly' if you just show them the way! You know, people you never think would be like that, squares at work etc!! Act my age? no chance, when you're in the box or properly fogey-fied, you got no choice.

Know what I mean? Or am I talking to myself on this one? :D :p ;)

(I can be sensible if the situation warrants it!.....at a push)
