*that should be 4 and 6*

Just a follow up really to my other post about me snapping off a wire to one of my injectors. Have got this sorted but strangely enough am now missing on cylinders 5 and 6! (from front, r/h/s, top 2) WTF have I done to cause that? Plugs are only a few months old, from Courtesy and those injector connector's seem fine. I suppose I now need to determine if its lack of spark or fuel? Is there a test I can do for the injectors? I have a multimeter.

Its just thrown me that 2 cylinders are down for no apparent reason! but then nothing on a Z happens for a reason so I should be used to that by now. I haven't touched that side of the engine at all!

I get upset when my Z's not working! :(

Cheers,

Take the connectors to the coil pack off and give them a good clean.

This happened to me when I was tightening up the fuel lines. When I tried to start up, one cylinder wouldnt work. I checked everything, in the end I just cleaned the plug to the coil and it worked.

Big 'phat' thanx to Stu, SMW1 for coming down and spending most of the day helping me fix my poorly Z.

We found out which cylinders were down and replaced the injector connectors. It was a bit fiddly but Stu's crimping skills came up trumps (must be from all that practise on his hair) and after a well deserved McD's my Z was back on 6 and pulling better than ever. Its still a mystery as to why they were failing but now its working again, I don't care.

Thanx again mate.........but next time dont make me go sideways in front of the pesky pork chops when I'm showing you the way home.....tut tut, you are a bad influence.

Cheers mate, I owe you one. :D

I got a feeling you may have a problem with your heat matrix !!!!.

i.e. it's not fooking there LMAO !!!

You may also notice the condition of James' injector connectors in the top right corner. They were fooked !!!!

Just to add that matrix bypass is courtesy of SE, not my handy work! Its crude but it works till I get my new matrix in! What am I defending SE for? It looks fookin awful!

On that last pic you can see the rear with no wiper. I like it without and think it really tidies up the back end.

no but isn't it nice that silver is both the best looking as well as the fastest Zed?

Very nice. In fact when I took the picture of the two silver Z's head to head, I got a bit flustered :D
