When I drove the car after getting the car back into normal boost at Zedworld it was, how shall I say...Brutal :D

Now over the past few days, although smoother it just feels a little flat...Well alot flat actually :(

Esp. after racing that 205GTi the other day and getting a bit spanked

So I need to bite the bullet and get the car properly serviced.

Filters and plugs.

GULP

Oh well, I'm sure the car will be better when done :)

It's just not fast enough at the mo to set my world on fire.

Just a couple of things, this being the only Zed I have been in I don't know if it's normal or not.

When doing a launch yesterday, I took the revs up to 2500rpm, (boost was at about half) released the brakes and floored it.

Should the car wheelspin?

It was dry and there was no wheelspin at all

I'd have thought it should have smoked the tyres like that.

It's smoother after it was taken out of safety boost and there's less difference between on boost and building boost, just smooth power.

But there doesn't seem enough of it.

I was even egging it on the other day on a straight road cos it didn't seem fast enough

I know a proper service has to be done just to eliminate service issues, but plugs ain't cheap so I'll have to wait a little while to get it done.

Anyone from the Bristol area want to drive my Zed for a few minutes and let me know their thoughts, I'd appriciate the views of a healthy Zed driver as I have never driven a Zed apart from this one so it could be normal...But somehow I doubt it?

Eric , yours is an auto isn't it? It should def wheelspin from start without going too mental. As you say it would be best to drive another one to get a comparison, ,I won't be in that area for at least a month but I'm sure one of the other Bristol crew would oblige....good luck

Phil

ps with the chip upgrade its hard not to spin:D

Cheers :)

When I spoke to Jeff, he said these cars should have supercar performance out of the box and be one of the fastest things on the road.

I'd have to say I'm a long way from that :(

A very long way...

Eric,

There's a thread a few pages back in the Help and Advice section posted by Sprae titled ' Give everything a good clean'.

Anyway I think Herman Munster has posted a thread in it with a link to TT net about what connectors to clean and other things.

I've printed it off to do to my Z as it helps the running no end and also gives you a troubleshooting guide to spark plugs.

The good thing as well is that it all looks quite easy to do!:D

Cheers,

F.T.

Cheers mate, I'll do a search :)

I'm taking the car round to Del with the poorly black auto, and he's going to take it for a spin and see what he thinks, his car is a stage 3 Jap TT, but he should have an idea if mines running right or not :D
