A week ago my PTU packed in and I had to get a toe as the car wouldn’t even start.

Took the PTU off and cleaned the connections with WD40 and some light sand paper and made all the contacts nice and shiny again and the car started first time. I would actually say that the car ran better, quite noticeably better.

Even MAC says his car ran better after cleaning his MAS, after that stopped working.

So I decided give my MAS a clean as cleaning my PTU not only made my car work, but made it run better.

All I can say is WOW!

The car feels so much different. 1st gear on a straight, the back was drifting out, and the revs felt a lot smoother and free. I even got the sliding feeling in 2nd which I have never experienced before.

I am not saying that it will make a difference to every one, but it made a big difference to mine.

Just thought I would share with you.

Stuart.

P.S. AndyP how's my spelling in this post? ;)

Pretty good - you got a spelling checker ? Maybe we'll have that turned on in the new version of the s/w ....

Well, since you asked (not me, admittedly! :) ), I believe that you had to get a TOW.

Kids today, eh? Tch! :D

Nice one Stu, any chance of pics/info as to where I can find these puppies?

Dave

Stu, it did the same for my car, ran better and tidied up the tickover! I would recommend it to everyone. :D :D Especially that temp sensor!! That little bugger is responsible for alot, and from what I found, for the regular question of "my revs dip a little before increasing".
